Rajganj, 26th January: On the occasion of Republic Day, a crowd of people gathered for picnics at Teesta Barrage in Ambari.
As per the details received, the natural scenery and incoming migratory birds during winter in the Barrage attract a huge crowd of visitors for picnics every year. Similarly, even this year, several people from neighbouring areas including Siliguri and Jalpaiguri reached the spot for picnics. Reportedly, given a holiday on this day, people arrive with their families and friends.
In this regard, several people stated the spot to be very pleasant. They added that they visit the place frequently for picnics and also to witness the aesthetic natural surroundings.
