Siliguri, 08th March: All political parties, including the Left-Congress, have decided to unite with an aim to reduce the power of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
During a press conference at Siliguri Journalists Club on Monday, the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation (CPI(ML)) state committee member Basudeb Basu assured providing full support to other leftist parties to curtail BJP power.
Basu said the CPI(ML) has decided to contest only 12 seats to provide an advantage to other political parties excluding BJP. Although their party contested 31 seats in the last assembly elections, this time they have reduced the number of seats.
