Siliguri, 23rd March: Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)), candidate Ashok Bhattacharya carried out election campaigning in the native ward of Tourism Minister and Trinamool leader Goutam Deb, on Tuesday.
Reportedly, Bhattacharya received a good response from the common people while campaigning in Ward No. 17 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation. He expressed confidence in winning the polls.
Bhattacharya stated that he has good relation with Goutam Deb, however, he did not meet the minister during his visit to the said ward. “With the elections nearing, there’s no point in meeting the minister and pretending,” Bhattacharya added.
