Naxalbari, 17th March: CPI(M) candidate for the Matigara-Naxalbari Assembly constituency, Jharen Roy, started a door-to-door campaign immediately after his name was announced.
Accompanied by state committee member Gautam Ghosh and party workers, Roy campaigned in border villages including Bara Maniram and Tarabari in Naxalbari. He personally visited households, greeting residents and requesting their votes.
Jharen Roy stated that CPI(M) has always been with the people throughout the year. He is campaigning to ensure citizens exercise their democratic rights correctly. Despite Trinamool Congress and BJP being the main opponents, he said people want change and support CPI(M) in this election.
