Siliguri, 30th March: Debraj Barman, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) candidate campaigned in several areas of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) under Jalpaiguri Lok Sabha constituency.
Reportedly, on Saturday, Debraj Barman held a door to door campaign and appealed to the general public to vote.
During the campaign, Debraj Barman stated that ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’ would not be consider as a mere allowance. He added that it would be made as a law if the party comes to power so that none are deprived from the right, later. He further stated that increasing the allowance by Rs 500 would not make any difference, it should be increased to about 7 to 7.5 thousand rupees.
