Fulbari, 10th September: On Sunday, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) candidate Anjunara Begum who won from Booth no. 19/308 of Fulbari-II Gram Panchayat joined Trinamool Congress (TMC). Anjunara joined the TMC party in the presence of Jalpaiguri district TMC General Secretary Debashish Pramanik. Following this, over two hundred CPIM supporters also joined TMC.
As per reports, the program was attended by TMC Dabgram-Fulbari Block President Sudha Singh Chatterjee, Indian National Trinamool Trade Union Congress (INTTUC) Block President Sukant Kar, Fulbari-II Gram Panchayat Pradhan Rafikul Islam and Fulbari –II Anchal Sabhapati Rabiul Karim and other party workers.
In this regard, Jalpaiguri district TMC General Secretary Debashish Pramanik confirmed that the winning candidate of CPIM has joined the party. He added that over two hundred supporters also willingly joined the TMC. Furthermore, he stated that the joining has strengthened the position of the party.
