Siliguri, 07th November: Raising the slogan ‘Diwali festival of lights not crackers’, COVID Care Network and Siliguri Fight Corona have pledged not to burst crackers this Diwali during an awareness programme organized at Baghajatin Park.
During the event, CPI(M) leader Ashok Bhattacharya and Trinamool leader Nantu Pal were present along with many people who won the battle against the fatal coronavirus. All took an oath not to burn firecrackers on Diwali and further appealed to the others to do the same.
On this occasion, the people while maintaining social distance held placards showcasing the message of awareness regarding the burning of firecrackers and its effects to the common people.
