Rajganj, 22nd April: In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Himalayan Nature and Adventure Foundation (NAF) made arrangements to provide protective gear to the health workers in the village areas.
The organization handed over 450 pairs of surgical gloves, 450 masks, 500 caps and hand sanitizers to the Rajganj block administration on Wednesday.
NAF coordinator Animesh Basu stated that such an initiative has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the health workers who are the front-line fighters in the battle against the pandemic. He further maintained that protective gear will also be provided to the Naxalbari, Kharibari, Matigara and Phansidewa Block administration.
Rajganj BDO NC Sherpa, Block Health official Subhadeepp Sarkar, Jalpaiguri District-in-council member Debashish Pramanik and many other dignitaries were present during the programme.
