Siliguri, 25th June: An illegal operation selling counterfeit tins replicating Jindal company tins has been uncovered in Siliguri. Following a complaint from Jindal company, Bhakti Nagar police, along with the enforcement branch, seized the duplicate tins from a local shop.
Reportedly, Jindal company received information about counterfeit goods being sold under their name at a well-known shop in the Bhakti Nagar police station area. The company conducted an internal investigation and confirmed the sale of duplicate tins.
Subsequently, the company lodged a complaint with the enforcement branch. On Tuesday, accompanied by a Jindal company representative, the enforcement branch and Bhakti Nagar police conducted a raid on the shop. They recovered and confiscated the counterfeit tins.
A formal complaint has been filed by the company against the shop, while police investigations are underway.
