Siliguri, 16th November: Counterfeit goods bearing the Apple company logo were being sold in Siliguri, misleading unsuspecting customers. The matter came to light during an investigation prompted by a complaint from Apple company officials on Saturday.
Reportedly, Apple company officials from Delhi had filed a written complaint earlier this month. Acting on the complaint, the Enforcement Branch (EB) of Siliguri Metropolitan Police, along with Apple representatives, conducted raids on four shops located on Rishi Aurobindo Road under Panitanki Outpost.
During the raids, a significant quantity of fake Apple-branded items, including chargers, headphones, phone covers, tempered glass, and other accessories, were seized from the shops.
It was revealed that for the past several days, goods using the Apple company’s logo were being sold in various shops in the area. The Enforcement Branch has initiated further action regarding the matter.
