Siliguri, 30th September: Councillor Dilip Barman of Ward No. 46 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation, brought smiles to the faces of tea estate workers. In a joint initiative with the organization ‘Uttarer Abhijan’, new clothes were distributed to 2,000 women workers from 14 tea estates in Bagdogra and Naxalbari ahead of Durga Puja.
The event was attended by Councillor Dilip Barman, Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress Chairman Alok Chakraborty, Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Deputy Chairperson Roma Reshmi Ekka, TMC leader JP Kanodia, and others.
