Rajganj, 18th March: In view of the Coronavirus outbreak, the State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb inspected the Fulbari border checkpost on Wednesday. The Minister stated that such an initiative has been taken as several tourists, including foreigners, travel through the Fulbari border.
Meanwhile, under the directives of the District Magistrate, strict surveillance is underway at the Fulbari, Chamurchi, Changrabandha, Jaigaon and Panitanki border area.
Isolation centres have also been set up in several places including Siliguri, Jalpaiguri and Naxalbari. The administration is said to launch a few helpline numbers for the convenience of the people.
