Coronavirus scare: BJP handed over memorandum to Food and Supply Department

Siliguri, 19th March: The common people are forced to live amidst the fear of food crisis during the coronavirus outbreak. Meanwhile, the prices of some essential food items have started to rise in the market. A memorandum was handed over by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to the Food and Supply Department, on Thursday, to control the price hike and panic spread among the common people. The BJP demanded that the prices of the food items be controlled and a task force be formed immediately to assess the food content in the markets. Meanwhile, the official of the Food and Supply Department stated that he would discuss with the higher authorities and investigate the matter.
