Cooch Behar, 25th April: The North Bengal Development Minister Rabindranath Ghosh held a meeting at the Cooch Behar District Magistrate’s Office to analyze the current situation of the city.
The meeting was attended by Minister Binoy Krishna Barman, District Magistrate Pawan Kadian, Sushant Roy, and the district health officials. During the meeting, discussions to increase Naka checking were also held under the leadership of North Bengal Special Covid-19 officer Sushanta Roy. Roy asked everyone to not create panic as all the reports in the district turned out to be COVID-19 negative.
After the meeting, the North Bengal Development Minister, while addressing the media condemned the role of the Central government team and stated that the initiative taken by CM Mamata Banerjee is enough to deal with the pandemic.
He further alleged that the kits sent by the Central government were of poor quality and that it would provide no safety to the health workers. He further stated that the team should return back as their presence is creating hindrance in the work of the citizens.
