Coronavirus Pandemic: Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya and State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb hold a meeting in SMC

Siliguri, March 27: In view of the Coronavirus outbreak, Mayor Ashok Bhattacharya and the State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb held a meeting today at the Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
The present situation was discussed during the meeting and various precautionary measures were suggested by the SMC officials.
Keeping in mind the current situation, the Mayor proposed to use North Bengal Medical College-Hospital as a COVID-19 medical center for the treatment of the infected patients. He further stated that the 10 UPHC centers under the SMC will be used for the treatment of the people with the help of IMA which will ease the pressure on the Government and private hospitals. Minister Goutam Deb agreed to all the suggestions.
