Rajganj, 29th March: The nation-wide lockdown in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases has started to affect the daily wagers and their families.
In this regard, the forest workers of the Belakoba Range and Ambari Range office extended their helping hand towards 400 families of the Saraswatipur area on Sunday.
Range officer Sanjay Dutta stated that such an initiative has been taken after discussing it with the Joint Forest Management Committee. He further stated that 10 kgs of rice, 2 kgs of potatoes, 500 grams of pulses and 500 grams of soybean were handed over to around 400 families in Saraswatipur.
Besides, an ambulance was also arranged for the residents of the said area. As per the report, an awareness campaign was also held in Saraswatipur regarding COVID-19.
