Siliguri, 25th May: An atmosphere of tension had engulfed Siliguri after the Darjeeling District Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) Pralay Acharya informed that a person in Shaktigarh area, who recently returned from Bihar tested, COVID-19 positive on Sunday.
Following this, the NJP police and the health officials visited the said area and after interacting with his family members, it was learned that the infected person is currently in Kolkata and his family members have been advised to stay in home quarantine.
In this context, the CMOH stated that the patient was initially identified as a resident of the Shaktigarh area. However, the health workers and police later learned that the person is currently staying in Kolkata.
