Cooch Behar, 11th August: Cooch Behar Kotwali police, acting on a tip-off, arrested a youth with three firearms, magazines and live cartridges. The youth has been identified as Saurabh Roy Singh of Chhoto Salbari area of Dinhata division of Cooch Behar district.
Cooch Behar District Superintendent of Police Sumit Kumar, addressing a press conference, maintained that the youth was nabbed while he was entering Cooch Behar from Bihar via Siliguri. Three firearms, six magazines and 20 rounds of live cartridges were recovered from the youth. A preliminary investigation revealed that the firearms had been brought from Begusarai in Bihar.
