Cooch Behar, 23rd May: On the auspicious occasion of the 102nd birth anniversary of Maharani Gayatri Devi, the Cooch Behar Aastha Foundation celebrated the day with much zeal and enthusiasm in front of the main gate of Cooch Behar Palace.
As per the information, several other programmes have also been arranged for the entire day. Many other organizations also celebrated the day in various areas.
Maharani Gayatri Devi was the third Maharani consort of Jaipur from 1940 to 1949. Following her husband’s signature for the Jaipur State to become part of the Union of India and her step-son’s assumption of the title in 1970, she was known as Maharani Gayatri Devi, Rajmata of Jaipur.
