Siliguri, 01st May: On the occasion of May Day, Contract Labour Union NJP Branch of INTTUC today organized many programmes including health check-up camp at INTTUC office located at DS Colony. In addition, an eye check up camp was also organized with the initiative of Siliguri Lions Netralaya.
According to reports, sarees and towels were distributed to about 250 contract workers. In addition to this, some of the needy rickshaw drivers were provided with financial help by the Organization’s President, Sujay Sarkar. Speaking on the occasion, the president, said that they have been fighting for the interest of the workers and further assured that they will continue to do so.
