Kharibari, 12th September: A container truck carrying bamboo overturned into a roadside trench after losing control due to poor road conditions. The incident occurred on National Highway 327 in the Balaijhora area of Batasi in Kharibari.
The vehicle was en route from Guwahati to Uttar Pradesh when it lost control and toppled over because of the deteriorated state of the road. The driver of the container sustained injuries in the accident. Upon receiving the report, officers from Kharibari Police Station arrived at the scene and immediately sent the injured driver for preliminary medical treatment.
Local residents have expressed frustration, stating that frequent accidents occur due to the poor condition of the national highway. The police are investigating the entire incident.
