Rajganj, 24th February: The construction of the Devi Chaudhurani Temple in Rajganj resumes after two months. The construction work of the temple was stopped in December 2019.
It was reported that the historic Goddess Chaudhurani and Bhawani Pathak Temple was completely burnt to ashes in a horrific fire in February 2018. The State Tourism Minister, Goutam Deb, had inspected the temple and had assured of reconstructing it. It was reported that the Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority would beautify the temple. The construction of the temple had commenced from July 2019. However, the construction work was halted in December 2019 due to various problems.
