Rajganj, 21st March: Congress staged a sit-in protest in Fatapukur in support of the Bharat Bandh called on March 28 and 29. On Monday, the Rajganj Block Committee (INTUC) protested demanding immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the murder of student leader Arif Khan.
“We are holding this Patha Sabha and sit-in protest to make the strike successful on March 28 and 29 with a 23-point demand,” INTUC block president Debabrata Nag said.
“The perpetrators of the murder of Congress councilor Tapan Kandu and student leader Anis Khan should be arrested immediately. We are also protesting against the deprivation of workers and employees of the central government concerning EPF,” he added.
