Naxalbari, 29th January: Former Congress MLA Sunil Chandra Tirkey appeared for a hearing on Thursday after receiving a logical discrepancy notice. He reached the Naxalbari BDO office and presented his case before the officials.
It was reported that Tirkey’s name was missing from the 2002 voter list for Phansidewa, while the name of his father and former state minister, Ishwar Chandra Tirkey, was present, showing an age of over 50 years at the time. Based on this, the BLO issued a notice citing a logical discrepancy.
Responding to the matter, Sunil Chandra Tirkey said that receiving the notice does not amount to a case. He stated that he has appeared every time he was summoned and that he is a voter, which is why he was called. He confirmed that he complied with the law and attended the hearing.
