Naxalbari, 07th April: Congress candidate of Matigara-Naxalbari Assembly constituency, Amitava Sarkar, felicitated Sanjita Oraon, a resident of Naxalbari, for her outstanding achievement at the Khelo India Tribal Games.
Sanjita Oraon, who hails from Mouri Jote village under the Nandalal Sansad area of Hatighisa, recently returned home after securing a gold medal in the 10,000-meter race at the event held in Chhattisgarh.
On Tuesday, Amitava Sarkar visited her residence to personally congratulate her. During the visit, he presented her with a felicitation and extended his best wishes for her future endeavors in athletics.
While praising her achievement, Sarkar also assured his support for her continued growth in sports. He, however, expressed dissatisfaction with the role of the administration in terms of development, highlighting concerns over the condition of her residence.
