Siliguri, 16th September: Alleging he was harassed outside the vaccination centre in front of Tarun Tirtha Club in Bharat Nagar, Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh lodged a complaint at the Siliguri police station.
Following this, a counter-complaint was lodged against Ghosh on behalf of a woman in Ward No. 24. The woman submitted a statement to the police claiming that Shankar Ghosh arrived at the vaccination centre with outsiders and created unrest, on Wednesday. She further accused the MLA of pushing her due to which she sustained some injuries.
In this context, Shankar Ghosh said, “I am surprised to hear this. When I went there, I was gheraoed. There are CCTV cameras in many houses in the area. The footage should be seen. False accusations are being made against me.”
