Islampur, 01st February: The strike called on by the All India Bank Employees Federation in support of several-point demands was effective on the second day in the entire district. The bank strike was announced on 31st January and 1st February on behalf of the organization.
On behalf of the United Forum Bank Union, it was informed that a two-day nationwide bank strike was called upon in support of demands regarding wage settlement, pension updates and family pension, equal work equal pay, and many more issues.
It was reported that the bank strike, which started from Friday, will continue today as well. However, since tomorrow is Sunday, the banks will remain closed. So, the common people are facing a lot of problems.
