Siliguri, 20th July: A coal-laden truck met with an accident on Burdwan Road later on Friday night. The driver sustained injuries in the incident.
According to reports, the truck, bearing a Nagaland registration and transporting coal from Gujarat to Bhutan, lost its way and ended up on Burdwan Road via Jhankar More. After seeking directions from locals, the driver attempted to turn the truck around near Santoshi Nagar but lost control, resulting in the accident.
Upon receiving news of the accident, police from Khalpara Outpost promptly arrived at the scene and are currently investigating the matter thoroughly.
