‘CM trying to shift public focus from R.G. Kar case,’ MoS Sukanta Majumdar in Siliguri

Siliguri, 23rd September: West Bengal BJP President and Union Minister of State for North Eastern Region Development and Education, Sukanta Majumdar, slammed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the resignation of two representatives from the DVC over the flood situation.

On Monday morning, Sukanta Majumdar arrived at the NJP Railway Station and shot criticisms at CM Mamata Banerjee while addressing the media. He stated that the CM is diverting attention from the R.G. Kar incident by repeatedly visiting the flooded areas and making unwarranted remarks against the central government. He further added to his statement that the BJP has consistently extended its support to flood-affected victims.

He also commented on the R.G. Kar case, claiming that evidence has been tampered with, complicating the CBI efforts to uncover the truth. He asserted that those responsible will ultimately face justice.

Additionally, Majumdar raised concerns about the ongoing issue of ‘threat culture’ at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital calling for an urgent need for reform.
