Chief Minister (CM) Mamata Benerjee, on Sunday, announced that she would be sending a high-level disaster management team to flood-hit North Bengal on Monday. The statement came following a red alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) and the prevailing situations including incessant heavy rainfall, damaged roads, and properties in districts of North Bengal. The CM further stated that she has been monitoring every situation personally.
