Siliguri, 03rd September: The Bidhan Market Vyavasayi Samithi members thanked the State Chief Minister for repealing the decision to carry out demolition drives in the market.
It is to be noted that repeated allegations concerning illegal construction were being reported from Siliguri’s Bidhan Market. Following this, a meeting was held on behalf of SJDA, where an order was passed to carry out a demolition drive inside the market. However, the traders ignored the issue and filed a case in this regard.
Reportedly, the Chief Minister issued a directive to SJDA asking them to not carry out any demolition drive at the moment. The traders highly praised the decision taken by the CM.
Chittaranjan Das, President of Bidhan Market Vyavasayi Samithi, expressed his gratitude towards the CM for taking such a decision for the well-being of the traders.
