CM Mamata Banerjee claims dengue spreading from Bangladesh into West Bengal

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claimed on Thursday, during her speech in the Assembly, that the viral infectious disease Dengue was spreading from the neighbouring country Bangladesh.


Addressing the assembly, she stated, “Dengue is spreading in West Bengal from Bangladesh. I cannot prevent anyone from entering (from Bangladesh). However, border surveillance should be increased, and necessary tests must be conducted on those entering India from the neighboring country.”
