Cloudbursts near Amarnath cave: 6 pilgrims from Dhupguri stranded, families hope for their safe return

Dhupguri, 09th July: At least 16 people were killed and several injured after a flash flood hit Amarnath base camp on Friday. A huge force of Army, ITBP, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police are relentlessly rescuing pilgrims despite the heavy flow of water and continuous rainfall.
Meanwhile, among the stranded, six are from Dhupguri. They had left for Amarnath Yatra together. The mishap took place while they were trekking toward the temple. Reportedly, arrangements are being made on behalf of the Jalpaiguri district administration to contact the six men and rescue them. On the other hand, their family members have hoped for their safe return.
