Naxalbari, 17th February: Several programmes were organized, today, to celebrate the 21st Foundation Day of the Panighata Adivasi Sanskritic Welfare Society. SDO Ashwin Roy, OC Tapan Das, founding President of the Society Oscar Tirkey, Secretary Shivdas Baraik, Krishna Rautiya, F Panna, M Kujur and many others were present during the occasion.
The founding President of the Society, Oscar Tirkey, stated that an Indian flag and the Society’s flag was hoisted under the programme. The programme was inaugurated by the guests by lighting a lamp. Clothes and blankets were distributed among 700 needy people.
