Siliguri, 01st October: On Sunday, prior to the 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Shramdaan is being observed across the nation under “Swachhta hi Seva Abhiyaan”. Under this noble initiative, railway employees in NJP ROH spread the message of cleanliness by sweeping the ground.
According to reports, Swachhta Shramdaan was held at NJP ROH under the initiative of Divisional Mechanical Engineer (DME)/ NJP Arnab Sinha for “Swachhta Hi Seva 2023” in order to promote garbage-free India drive. During the event, officials along with Railway employees assisted in cleaning the ROH premises.
Under the initiative, the Railway employees and Officers launched cleanliness seminars, public awareness campaigns, drainage clearing, bush cutting, sanitization, etc.
