Siliguri, 22nd May: On the 7th day of the lockdown, a fire broke out in a city auto near a petrol pump in Champasari, creating a stir in the area. The auto driver sustained injuries while extinguishing the fire.
According to the information, the said city auto came to fill petrol at the said pump this morning. When he started the vehicle, it suddenly caught fire. After this, with the help of the locals and the staff of the petrol pump, the vehicle was taken away from the petrol pump and the fire was extinguished.
While the auto completely burnt to ashes, locals claimed that a major accident was averted due to the promptness of the petrol pump worker.
