Siliguri, 06th August: Although vaccination camps were held on behalf of the Vyavasayee Samitis, only the traders have been vaccinated and the labourers are still deprived of the vaccine. Hence, CITU approached the district CMOH demanding vaccination of workers related to various jobs including construction and transportation.
On Friday, a memorandum was handed over to the CMOH Dr Pralay Acharya at the Sub-divisional council on behalf of the organization. CITU leader Saman Pathak said that many labourers have not yet been vaccinated. Hence, a memorandum was submitted today demanding a separate camp for them. The CMOH assured to look into the matter.
