Siliguri, 06th November: With Diwali ahead, the entire city is likely to be decorated with a variety of lights. Unlike other years, this time, the citizens are being spotted buying local PVC lamps instead of China-made lights.
Reportedly, the PVC lamps of various colours and sizes are mainly manufactured in Gujarat. Following which, they are brought to Siliguri and sold after proper cutting and setting. If the lamps get dirty, they can be cleaned with water.
The PVC lampshades will light up your homes, flats, or offices after installing them with LED bulb holders. The lamps are priced starting from Rs 100 up to Rs 500.
Sudipto Saha, a trader, said that the contents of these PVC plastic lamps are brought from Gujarat and then modified here. He asked all to boycott China-made lights and use these lampshades, this Diwali.
