Chital deer fawn rescued from Alipurduar locality

Alipurduar, 27th January: A Chital deer fawn was rescued by the forest department from a locality in Alipurduar.


On Monday afternoon, the fawn, reportedly from the Buxa Tiger Reserve forest, wandered into the Choto Chauki Bas area of Alipurduar Block II. The small fawn struggled to move properly and was spotted by residents, who promptly informed the forest department.

Forest personnel from the South Raidak Range arrived at the scene and rescued the fawn. According to the forest department, the fawn is only ten days old. An investigation is underway to determine how the fawn ended up in the locality.
