Children’s Day celebrated in Siliguri

Siliguri, 14th November: On the occasion of Children’s Day, a programme was jointly organized on behalf of Round Table India, Ladies Circle India, Mittal Foundation and Bal Krishna Sangha in Ward No. 41, on Sunday.


 

The program commenced by paying homage to the first Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru. A cultural programme was held along with a sit and draw competition for children. 150 kids participated in the competition. Prizes were handed over to the first, second, and third place winners. Chairman of Hindi Academy Vivek Gupta was present as the chief guest.


Sevika Mittal, president of the Mittal Foundation, said that the pandemic has affected children to a great extent. Today’s initiative was taken to make them happy.
