Cooch Behar, 02nd January: On the first day of 2023, a child was seriously injured when a bomb exploded in Mathabhanga. At present, the child is being treated at a nursing home in Siliguri. An atmosphere of panic has ensued since the terror. Today, Mathabhanga BJP MLA Sushil Barman and Sheetalkuchi MLA Barenchandra Barman met the family of the injured child. Along with this, they also inspected the spot.
In this regard, Mathabhanga MLA Sushil Chandra Barman said that they are deeply saddened and have no words to convey their solace to the injured kid’s family. He also expressed anger against the state government for the said incident. On the other hand, Sheetalkuchi MLA Barenchandra Barman said that he strongly condemns such an incident. He strongly opposed the manufacturing of bombs and guns all over the state. It also raised a big question about the safety of the common people.
On the other hand, TMC Youth president Suman Kumar Roy alleged that the opposition tried to sabotage the meeting in the said area on the occasion of Trinamool Foundation Day. He further alleged them of politicising the incident of the injured child.
