Siliguri, 01st December: Central trade unions and federations took to the streets in support of the ongoing farmers’ movement across the country and against police brutality on the protesting farmers.
On Tuesday, the organizations staged a sit-in protest in front of the post office in Siliguri. The programme lasted from 2 pm to 4 pm.
It is to be noted that all the opposition political organizations have started a movement against the various policies of the central government. The farmers were also subjected to lathi-charge after they protested against various policies including the centre’s farm bill.
