Siliguri, 02nd May: The Central government team, on Saturday, visited the Fulbari Zero point area near the Indo-Bangladesh border and interacted with the BSF officials to analyze the current work situation in the area.
Addressing the media, a team member stated that the team, on Friday, also inspected the Indo-Nepal border and the Bihar-Bengal border to ensure whether all the government protocols were being followed.
He further maintained that during their inspection today, they learned that the state government has verbally instructed the discontinuation of trade at the border areas since March 7 and no written order has been passed to the BSF and Customs department in this regard.
He added that the soldiers at the border area are doing their job well and are alert about the COVID-19 situation.
