Siliguri, 04th May: After the election results, unrest erupted in several places of the city. Several vehicles and houses were vandalized in Ward No. 44. Two groups clashed at Hill Cart Road on Monday afternoon which created widespread tension in the area.
In view of this, the central forces held a route march in Siliguri to maintain peace. The jawans marched in several places on Tuesday afternoon, starting from Hashmi Chowk and till Air View More. The route march was also carried out in the Bhaktinagar police station area.
