Naxalbari, 01st September: A cargo truck lost control and overturned on the Asian Highway 2 in Naxalbari this morning. The truck was en route from Delhi to Assam, carrying vehicle parts.
The accident occurred in the Bengai Jote area of Naxalbari when the truck veered off the road and overturned into a roadside depression. The truck was later recovered with the help of a crane. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties in the incident.
Police from the Naxalbari station arrived at the scene shortly after being notified and have commenced an investigation into the accident.
