Siliguri, 20th February: Based on a tip-off, the NJP police launched 2 separate operations at the Fulbari Pathasathi area on Wednesday and recovered 24.2 kg of cannabis. A man, identified as Sudeb Mochari was arrested in connection with the incident. He is a resident of Kokrajhar, Assam.
Meanwhile, the Ambari police arrested another man, identified as Foni Sarkar from the Sahudangi area along with 22.2 kg of cannabis.
It was reported that the recovered cannabis of both the cases was being transported to Bihar from Assam. The arrested accused were produced before the Jalpaiguri court today.
