Cancer awareness camp held in NBMCH on the occasion of International Women’s Day

Siliguri, 08th March: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a cancer awareness camp was held at the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital for the state police female workers. It was organized under the leadership of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India and Siliguri Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society.


As per the report, the camp was held at NBMCH’s Gynaecology Outpatient Department( OPD). During the camp, awareness was raised regarding cervical and breast cancer.

The event was attended by Nodal Officer and Dean of Medical College Dr. Sandeep Sengupta, Chief of Pathology Department Bidyut Goswami, ACP of the Siliguri Police Commissionerate Moumita Karmakar and many other dignitaries. A total of 173 female police workers got their health examined.
