Siliguri, 02nd January: A camp for people with special needs was organized at Jayakant School in Ashighar More, on Saturday. The camp was attended by State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb.
In the camp, 12 kg of rice was provided to each family having people with disabilities. In addition to this, 5 physically-challenged persons were given tricycles. The disabled persons also underwent health check-ups and were provided with a certificate by the doctor in the Jayakant School ground.
The said camp was organized in view of the state Chief Minister’s scheme for people with disabilities and special needs. As per the report, people with disabilities will get government financial assistance with the help of this project.
