Siliguri, 16th May: The Calcutta High Court has issued an order to revoke Babita Sarkar’s employment. It is worth noting that earlier, Ankita Adhikari, the daughter of former West Bengal Minister Paresh Adhikari, had her appointment cancelled following an application filed by Babita.
Anamika Roy filed a case at the Calcutta High Court, asserting that she was the rightful candidate for the position instead of Babita Sarkar. The court, considering the claim, has directed the cancellation of Babita’s employment and instructed that the position be offered to Anamika Roy. Allegedly, the merit list of the School Service Commission, which was widely circulated on social media, revealed that Babita Sarkar had been awarded an additional two marks in her academic score, as claimed by Anamika.
According to reports, Justice Abhijit Ganguly, citing Babita Sarkar’s alleged provision of incorrect information to the School Service Commission, ordered the annulment of her job. Furthermore, the Judge instructed Babita to transfer the sum of Rs 16 lakhs, received from Ankita Adhikari, to the Register General of the High Court.
