Siliguri, 09th November: Sensation prevailed after a garment shop in Champasari’s was robbed for the second time in 25 days.
It is to be noted that a burglary was reported in the same shop on October 17. To everyone’s surprise, another theft took place at the shop again within 25 days. Valuables worth lakhs have been stolen in both the robbery incidents.
Reportedly, the miscreants had cut the tin shed of the shop and entered inside. Following which, they fled away with clothes and cash.
The incident came to light after the shop owner opened the shop today morning. The matter was then informed to the police. Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot shortly after and launched investigations.
Later, shop owner Deepak Prasad raised questions regarding the security system in the city. He demanded the arrest of the culprits soon.
On the other hand, Trinamool Yuva leader of Ward No. 46 Sonu Chauhan said that the police conduct patrolling at night to provide security. However, he advised traders to hire security personnel for further safety.
